ABOUT ME

Originally from Barcelona, I am currently based in Los Angeles, encompassing the traditional, ancestral, and unceded land of the Tongva people.

I always had a passion for storytelling and grassroots activism. However, as a hard of hearing child actor, I soon realized that the entertainment industry didn’t have many systems in place to accomodate disabilities like mine. So in 2012, my proactive nature led me to producing and I founded Arsomnia, a non-profit production company, to create local and socially conscious media initiatives. Arsomnia brought together over 100 teenagers in Barcelona to produce content aimed at effecting positive change in their community.

Witnessing the humanitarian refugee crisis reaffirmed my commitment to advance human rights through social impact entertainment. My first feature-length documentary, Colis Suspect (2017), produced by Arsomnia, examines border security and won the Best Picture Award at the Tetouan Film Festival. The film is available for streaming via Filmin.

After completing my Bachelors at UCLA’s Film & Television School in 2018, I began volunteering with Young Entertainment Activists (YEA!) and co-founded the Hollywood Climate Summit. The Summit is an annual international gathering that showcases multigenerational storytelling efforts to promote environmental action in the entertainment industry.

In 2020 I also co-founded YEA! Impact, a social impact agency that harnesses the power of grassroots community-organizing and storytelling. As YEA!’s Chief Impact Officer, I oversaw campaigns including Can You Hear Us? for Hulu's I Am Greta, Youth v Gov on Netflix, and developed impact distribution strategy and operations for the Good Energy Playbook. You can learn more about my professional work here.

Currently, I serve on the founding Convening Team of the UN’s Framework Convention on Climate Change’s sectoral engagement called Entertainment and Culture for Climate Action (ECCA).
ECCA is a global collaborative initiative, part of Global Climate Action’s Marrakech Partnership, to unite the cultural sector on shared climate goals and solutions

My advocacy has been recognized on the 2022 Grist 50 Fixers list, featured on media outlets like Forbes, Politico, Shondaland, and awarded with the Cogenerate Innovation Fellowship.
